In Hindsight, What Would You Have Done Differently

Is anyone else watching the new VH1 show “Hindisight”? If you’re not, here’s a quick summary (don’t worry, no spoilers):

Successful business woman, who is about to get married, gets stuck in an elevator and is transported back to 1995.

It’s a bit of a déjà vu plot, but I’m a TV show addict, so I fell into it.

I started to think about what I would do differently if that had happened to me. What if I was transported 20 years back in time with all the knowledge I have now. Keeping in mind I was only 6 years old in 1995, I came up with a few ideas.

Get a Head Start on Blogging

Before you say anything, blogging did exist back then… I checked. The first “blog” was said to have started up in 1994. SO, I would start my own fashion blog as a 6 year old with all the knowledge I have about upcoming fashion trends and styles. Move over, Tavi.

Get on TV

I would convince my mother to get our family their own reality TV series. If people are watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians (not hating, I watch them too) then why wouldn’t they want to Keep Up with the lives of a regular (though there are doubts of sanity) Arab family?

Refrain From Chopping My Hair Off

I believe that at the age of 6, there was a moment where I wanted to be a hair stylist. So in an attempt to test out my skills, I chopped off a huge strand of my hair while at school. That, of course, let to my mother correcting the issue by taking me to get a haircut… not the best haircut I’ve gotten. If I could go back in time, I can actually erase all those horrible pictures of myself.

What would you do if you could go back in time?
