Love Your Hair

Hair is a big part of every girl’s life. We’re constantly trying to maintain the ones on our heads, while furiously battling to get rid of the other unfortunate places it decides to sprout from. Our hair can make us feel pretty, it gives us comfort, and let’s not forget the endless hours of entertainment it gives us as we twirl it between our fingers while procrastinating. Show your hair some love with my personal favourite products (I promise I’m not being paid by Lush!):

H’Suan Wen Hua Hair Mask

wen hua

Forget trying to pronounce this mask, just dip into the tub and enjoy the instant silky soft after feeling. It’s filled with a bunch of things, like avocados, bananas and olive oil, which even sound soft to the touch. Use this mask once a week to maintain your tresses.

Fairly Traded Honey Shampoo

fairly traded honey

The name alone will make you feel good knowing that you’re using a fair trade product. Give yourself a pat on the back for that one. Your first reaction to “honey” might be: ew, sticky. But trust me on this, you will not regret washing your hair with this pot of honey (back off, Winnie).

I’m not going to lie and say that you’ll feel the difference after the first wash (they tell you to use only one light lather, and I’m used to using three!) but by the third wash your hair will start to feel noticeably softer. If you dye your hair frequently like I do, you’ll thank me for recommending this.

R&B Hair Moisturiser

rnb

Thanks to my constant hair dying, curling and straightening, my hair is not in the best condition it could be. After a wash I like to run this moisturizer through my hair for the perfect finishing touch. Not only will it smooth your hair down, it’ll also leave it smelling irresistible all day long.

Sea Spray Hair Mist

sea spray

I absolutely hate hair sprays. I hate the smell, and I hate that sticky stiff texture you get after using them. It’s just unnatural for your hair not to move when your head does. This spray will give your hair a subtle hold, and while it’s not completely texture-free, it’s not as horrid as other hair sprays. It doesn’t clump your hair and you still get the natural motion your hair should have.
